May 4, 2018 was indeed a historic day for Christian Medical College, Vellore. The Institution was honoured to have Shri Ram Nath Kovind, the Hon’ble President of India inaugurate the Centenary Year of Medical Education. To commemorate the Centenary of Medical Education, the Institution has invited eminent personalities from different walks of life under the Luminary Lecture Series. The aim of this series of Lectures is to listen and imbibe from people, who by their work and life, have empowered and transformed societies, have contributed to our national life or are role models for the youth.

Centenary Run

The year-long celebrations for the Centenary of Medical Education at CMC got off to an energetic start with the Centenary Run held on 26th January 2018 from the Hospital campus to the Oval Grounds, Bagayam Campus.

The Run was preceded by a press conference which was addressed by the Director, Dr. J.V.Peter and the Principal, Dr.

Centenary Thanksgiving Service

The Centenary Year of Medical Education in Christian Medical College Vellore began with the Centenary Thanksgiving Service held on January 14, 2018 in Scudder Auditorium. It was a time to thank God for the wonderful ways He has enabled and guided our institution for the past hundred years, and to seek the wisdom of His leading for the years ahead.

With a liturgy of thanksgiving, gratitude, confession and praise, the prayers and readings at the Service were led by members of the CMC community and beyond- retired faculty,
